The Basic Facts

At approximately 10:30 am on March 26th, 2012 a call was placed to 911 from Marshall Jefferson (a member of Delta Sig).  Jefferson reported Robert Tipton, who had spent the night at his apartment (2128-H Crossing Way, High Point, NC), was non-responsive on the living room floor where he had been sleeping in a makeshift bed.

High Point Police Department (HPPD) personnel (Officer R.D. Ward) responded within minutes and noted Jefferson performing CPR on Robert while being instructed by 911 personnel.  EMS personnel arrived soon after and continued CPR.  EMS found Robert in asystole (flat lined cardiac activity) and was essentially dead at that point.  Robert was transported to High Point Regional Medical center where he was pronounced dead at approximately 11:10 am.
